On your Payments report dashboard, you can view payment history and pending payments that your clients have made. This report is visible whether your firm uses BigTime Wallet or not, but some columns are only available with BigTime Wallet. This article will show you how to access and use this dashboard.
First, get to the Payments report dashboard.
Click INVOICING...PAYMENTS from your navigation bar.
This will automatically redirect you to your payment history report.
This report allows you to view payment details and update the status of each payment. That’s the view you see in the above image. If you want to sort or filter your payments by status (Pending or Deposited), simply click on the STATUS column.
If you don't see the STATUS column on your report, you can add it by clicking the GEAR icon in the top right corner. A picklist will appear with all the available columns you can add to your report. In addition to STATUS, you can add:
- Invoice Number,
- Deposited Date,
- Payment Amount Due,
- Total, Balance Due,
- Client,
- Due Date,
- Paid Date,
- Payer Name,
- Payment Type,
- Applied Date, and
- Payment Number.
There are a few columns you can only add if you've been signed up with BigTime Wallet. These are:
- Autopay,
- Reason for Rejection (if the payment was rejected), and
- Deposit Batch Date.
Once you've added the columns you want by selecting them in the dropdown menu, click APPLY to save your changes.
Get the details for a particular payment by clicking on a hyperlinked payment number (found under the PAYMENT # column) to see payment details. A new window will show up with the details for a particular payment.
There are several useful features to organize this dashboard, so it appears as you like it. Moving from left to right across the navigation bar on this Payments window:
- Search- type in the specific payment you’re looking for.
- FUNNEL ICON- add filters to your columns.
- GEAR ICON- add or remove columns.
