Data Retention and BigTime

Protecting your data is our priority. That’s why we run full backups daily and differentials throughout the day. And that’s just the start. Learn how your BigTime data is backed up and stored.

  • How is BigTime backed up?
    • BigTime follows standard backup practices with near-continuous backup operations.
    • Full backups are taken nightly and maintained for a period of one year across multiple storage locations.
    • Backups are stored on systems with 99.999999999% durability.
    • All backups and snapshots are encrypted to ensure maximum security.
    • We maintain a secondary database server for failover in case of catastrophic events, ensuring data availability and continuity.
  • Where are backups stored?
All backups are securely stored across multiple systems on AWS to ensure redundancy and reliability.
  • How long is data stored?
We maintain most backups for a one-year retention period.
  • How do you test backups?
Nightly full production backups are restored to a test system to verify integrity.
Periodic restores of differentials are performed to confirm functionality and data accuracy.
  • Who has access to backup data?
Access to production data and backups is restricted to approved members of the leadership team, ensuring tight control and security.
  • Can I get a backup of my data?
If you need help exporting your data, please contact the support team for assistance.
  • What happens to client data in the event of contract termination?
Upon termination of a contract, client data can be wiped from the system upon request.
