Resubmitting a Rejected Time Entry or Expense in BigTime Mobile

Just like in BigTime for desktop, you can use BigTime Mobile to submit timesheets or expenses for review by your manager or system administrator. Once you submit a timesheet/expense, it will be added to your manager’s pool of pending approvals, from which they can be either approved or rejected.

If a time entry/expense you’ve submitted has been rejected, you’ll see a red EXCLAMATION MARK icon next to its name in the main TIME or EXPENSE screen.  You can sort your time/expense list to view rejected items only by following the filtering steps outlined in this article. 

First, let's walk through editing and resubmitting a rejected time entry. Tap on that specific time entry on the main TIME screen, and you'll be taken to the editing module. You'll see a red notification at the top of this screen informing you why the time entry was rejected. Based on this information, you can make the appropriate changes, save your expense, and resubmit it like you'd submit a new time entry.

Now, let's look at resubmitting a rejected expense, that pathway is similar. Find a rejected expense report and tap on it. If multiple expenses were in that report, you'll be taken to a new screen where those are broken up. You'll need to resubmit them individually. Tap on a rejected expense to navigate to the expense entry modal, where you'll see your expense's reason for rejection at the top. Now, just make the proper edits and save/submit the expense again, like you would a new expense.
