How to Set Up Scheduled Refreshes for Data Hub

This article provides a step-by-step guide for setting up scheduled refreshes for your Data Hub in Power BI. Follow these instructions to streamline your reporting process and ensure your data remains current without manual updates.

 

Begin by selecting File from the top menu in Power BI Desktop.

Next, click Publish and select Publish to Power BI.

Select your desired workspace to publish to, then click Select.

It will process for a few seconds, and then show a confirmation. Click the Open ‘{file name}.pbix’ in Power BI text link, and it will launch in your default internet browser.

Here, click Workspaces in the left navigation bar.

And under the Semantic Model type, click the Schedule Refresh button.

Optional: You may need to update your Delta Sharing credentials. If you see this yellow error message, click Edit Credentials.

Change the Authentication Method to Key, and enter your Bearer Token from your Credentials file, then Sign In.

Once complete, under the Refresh section, set your desired time zone, turn schedule On, and set your desired frequency and time
