Use the Project Monthly Fee on an Invoice

If you plan to create invoices based on your monthly project budgets, you can do so by using BigTime’s Project Monthly Fee invoice calculator to manually create an invoice. For the sake of this example, let’s say you have budgets set up for a project from April to August, and you want to create a Project Monthly Fee invoice for one of those monthly budgets. Here are the steps you would follow.

First, you need to make sure the Project Monthly Fee calculator is activated for your firm. If you haven’t yet done so, go to INVOICING…CONFIGURE…CALCULATORS and make sure the toggle switch next to the Project Monthly Fee calculator is set to ON

Now, follow the steps to create a new invoice. Select PROJECT MONTHLY FEE as the invoice type, and then click NEXT

In the FINALIZE INVOICE window, you’ll now need to select the date range you want to pull monthly project budgets from to add to your invoice. Click under the INVOICE DATE RANGE field in your sidebar and select a date range from the calendar that appears. If, for example, you select the month of April, your invoice will automatically populate with the budget amount you set for that month, which in this case is $2,500.

Once you’re happy with your invoice, click the blue FINALIZE button to finish creating it.
