Please note that most of the information in this article is relevant to customers who have BigTime Resource Management included in their subscription. 

Overview

The Unified Staff List gives you one place to view, search, filter and manage staff in BigTime. Instead of switching between separate BigTime Delivery and BigTime Resource Management experiences, you can now use a single staff list and open one shared profile for each staff member, that combines fields from BigTime Resource Management.

Access the Staff List

You can open the Staff List from BigTime Delivery. The Staff List tab can be found in the navigation menu under the "Resourcing" section. 

The list shows staff information in one shared table. Click any row to open that staff member's profile. 

Add a Staff Member

Click Add Staff to create a new staff member. 

The Add Staffer form includes:

  • First Name*
  • Last Name*
  • Email*
  • Security Group
  • Department
  • Send an Activation email 

*Required Fields

After you add a staff member, BigTime will redirect you to that staffer's profile, where you can finish setting up additional staffer details. 

Search and filter staff

Use the tools at the top of the Staff List to find staffers you need:

  • Search to find staff by name, email address, or any other available attribute
  • Add Filter to narrow results by staff attributes (i.e. Title, Department, Default Role, Start Date, etc.)
  • Show Inactive Staffers to include inactive staff in the list

If Resource Management is enabled, you can also use the Time Frame control to view time-based staffing data. 

Customize the Staff table

You can customize the table layout by dragging and dropping columns to reorder them, and adjusting their width by resizing as needed.

The Staff List uses a shared table experience with support for:

  • Sorting
  • Filtering
  • Column show/hide
  • Infinite scroll

Click the Settings icon (⚙️) above the table to open Columns Visibility and choose which columns appear in the list.

The Staff Member column that includes Staffer's Full Name is always shown and cannot be hidden. 

Export the Staff List

Use the Export dropdown to download the current Staff List view.

Supported formats include:

  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • PDF

Exports reflect the current table view, including applied filters and visible columns. 

Skills and Availability

If Resource Management is enabled, the list can display Resource Management specific data such as:

  • Availability
  • Technical Skills
  • Soft Skills
  • Languages 
  • Note

In the skills column, some values may appear truncated when space is limited. Select the icon within the cell to view the full list.

Open a Staff Profile

To open a staff member's profile, click the row or select the person's name in the Staff Member column.

When Resource Management is disabled

If Resource Management is disabled,  Resource Management specific controls, filters, and columns are hidden.

This includes fields such as:

  • Time Frame
  • Availability
  • Seniority
  • Technical Skills
  • Soft Skills
  • Languages
  • Note

Notes

  • Available fields and filters may vary depending on your account setup
  • Field names may differ dependent on your company's lexicon
  • What users can see and do in the Staff List is determined by their permissions
