Add a Team Member from the Calendar: Use Cases and Benefits

Adding people to a project directly from the Team Calendar saves time and gives you more flexibility. You can quickly staff a project while planning schedules, add someone who isn’t yet part of the project team, and adjust assignments on the fly without leaving the calendar. This means fewer steps and screens, faster project staffing, and better visibility into who is scheduled and when.

Required Permissions

To use this feature, make sure:

  • You have BigTime Resource Management for Managers permission.
  • You’re assigned as a Project Manager to the particular project you want to edit or/and View/Manage Any Project permission.
  • The staffer you want to add is active in your firm’s system.

Location

You’ll find the Add + button inside the Team Calendar in the Project profile

Log in to the Manager Account ➡ Go to the Projects tab ➡ Find and click on the right project ➡ Go to the Team Calendar section ➡ Navigate the Add+ button

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. Go to the specific project’s profile in the Projects Tab and navigate to the Team Calendar.
  2. Click Add + button
  3. Search for the staffer
  4. Assign to the project

Done! The person is now part of the project and visible in the calendar.
