What You Need for Your Wallet Application

Firms that are based in either the U.S. or Canada can use BigTime Wallet to track, process and deposit payments from clients. To get started with BigTime Wallet, you’ll need to fill out an application with a few details about you and your firm. There are specific documents and information that you’ll need to have on hand before beginning your application. The details you’ll need to fill out will be different depending on which country your firm is based in. Applying for BigTime Wallet: U.S. Firms

The documents and details you need to complete a BigTime Wallet application if you’re a U.S.-based firm can be split into three categories: company information, primary owner information, and banking information. Here is a run down of what info you’ll need in each category.

Company Information

  • Business Legal Name: The legal name your firm is registered under.
  • Business Address: Your firm’s headquarters.
  • Business Start Date: The date your firm was established.
  • Website: If your firm has a website, you can add that here.
  • Tax Identification Number: The EIN for your firm.
  • Business Type: Here you can fill out the industry your firm operates in.
  • Business Description: Here, write one to three sentences describing what your firm does and the services it provides.

Primary Owner Information

  • Your date of birth
  • Your SSN: This is required by Federal Law to confirm you are the owner of your firm. Before applying, make sure you and the other owners of your business have Experian accounts so that BigTime can run a soft credit check for your application. This credit check will not impact your credit score.
  • Your home address
  • Your phone number
  • Your company ownership percentage

Banking Information

  • Your firm’s bank account type
  • The state your firm’s bank account is located in
  • Your account number
  • Your routing number

Additional Information

There is the potential that you’ll need a few extra documents to verify your firm and complete your BigTime Wallet application. When filling out your application, it’s smart to have three months of your firm’s bank statements on hand. You may be prompted to add these to your application if BigTime runs into any issues verifying your firm or if your application is rejected.

Applying for BigTime Wallet: Canada Firms

If you run a Canadian firm, the information you’ll need for your BigTime Wallet application will differ in some respects from the U.S. application. Below, you’ll find a list of all the Canada-specific information you’ll need to have on hand to complete your application.

Business Information

  • Business Legal Name: The legal name your firm is registered under.
  • Doing Business As (DBA): This is the customer-facing name of your company. This may be different from your business’s legal name.
  • Business Address: Your firm’s mailing address.
  • City: The city your firm is headquartered in.
  • Province: The province your firm is headquartered in.
  • Postal Code: The postal code for your firm’s headquarters.
  • Phone: Your company’s primary phone number.
  • Business Registration Number
  • Website: If your firm has a website, you can add that here.
  • Business Email: The primary email address you’d like BigTime to send updates to.
  • Business Tax ID
  • Annual Sales Number: Your current or projected annual processing number.
  • Business Type: Here you can fill out the industry your firm operates in.
  • Business Category: The umbrella category your firm falls under.
  • Business Description: Here, write one to three sentences describing what your firm does and the services it provides.

Business Owner Information

  • Your first name
  • Your last name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your Social Insurance Number
  • Your home address
  • Your city
  • Your province
  • Your postal code
  • Your phone number

The BigTime Wallet application for Canadian firms requires that you add all owners who have a 25 percent or higher equity stake in your firm. You can click the button labeled +ADD ANOTHER BUSINESS OWNER at the bottom of this section to continue adding business owners. Once all owners have been added, you can check the box below this button to confirm they’ve all been accounted for.

Banking Information

  • Your firm’s bank transit number
  • Your account number
  • Your bank institution number
  • The province your firm’s bank account is located in
